* SCALE PATTERNS are available in a few types, octagon shape and variations
of the diamond shape. ** ALL PLUGS MAY HAVE DIAMOND DUST SPARKLE ADDED TO THE FINAL COAT OF EPOXY. Colors
available are multicolor, silver, copper and coffee. Copper and coffee, sometimes combined, are
color phases of squid. These
are examples of what Fishdoc-tied tail hooks look like. Hooks can be siwash
or live bait made by the two top hook manufacturers. Siwash can be 5/0 or 6/0 the live bait hooks are
6/0. Treble hooks range from 2/0 - 4/0. If you would like tied hooks only (no plugs) they are $3.00
each. Much cheaper than some trout flies!
LIKE TO FISH FOR FLUKE AND/OR BLACK SEA BASS? THEN YOU NEED ONE OF THESE "fishdoc Blue's Buster" RIGS.
They are quite close to bluefish proof, so you won't get cut off if a bluefish decides he likes your bait. I usually
snap on a Jig rather than a sinker when "flukin". I've lost lots of expensive jigs to bluefish....NO MORE! One
of the three-way swivels has a line with spinner(s) and hook threaded onto a piece of wire leader. The line can
be replaced when worn. When the "squid" tails wear out just tie in some deer tail in your choice of color.
Rig must be re-wired to replace squids. Attached to the other swivel leg is a wire leader dropper for a sinker
or jig. I have out-fished friends 2 to one when they used their store bought fluke/sea bass rigs. There is
a little surprise to these rigs. You will discover it when you purchase one! $4.00 each
This may seem expensive, but if you can avoid getting snagged it should last for quite some time
with only an occasional hook sharpening and line replacement. Pink and white seem to be the most productive, but there are days when the strangest
color combinations work best...go figure!
One of my favorite and most often used items. A fishoc "Cryin' Towel". A knitted extension to 1/2 of a terry dishtowel
has a button and button loop for attaching to belt, waders or someplace in your boat. Almost a MUST
have on board a boat. When in my boat I have at least 4 hanging in accessible spots (console and leaning
post grab rails) I also have one hanging from my belt. The one on the left is at least 5 years old and has been
on my belt or hanging in my boat on most trips. A quick dunk in soapy boat wash and a rinse and it's ready for the next
trip. Or throw into wash with those smelly fishing clothes at the end of the day. A problem I have with these is keeping them away from my wife (she hangs one from a kitchen drawer for quick hand
wiping) and my golfing friends club bags. "Fishdoc" Cryin' Towels sell for $4.00 each.
