Another favorite that casts very well and "walks the dog". These "walk" even if you find it difficult to make that action. Not pictured here is a squid color with a rear eye palcement pattern. Herring patterns (river and ocean) as well as bunker (pogy) are particularly effective during their respective runs. Yellow and white are excellent just about any time.

Standard & Polar Popper (1.5 - 3 oz)

These are 2 of my most frequently used surface lures along with the PENCIL POPPER. Blue/White, Red/White, Green/White, Yellow/Red, All White, All Yellow and black are frequently used colors. Scaled patterns are available upon request.

SPOOKS (1.5 - 3 OZ)

A plug for the ages. The bottom spook is pretty much standard. Spooks are unsurpased for "walking the dog". However, not everyone can give a plug the deadly walk-the-dog action, THUS THE MUCH SOUGHT AFTER JIGGY SPOOK. A friend from Kentucky has given me his permission to make this plug. It is without a doubt one of the best plugs that I have used in over 50 years of plying the waters of the East coast. Color availability much like that of poppers. But I also make a few other colors that are also productive (copper, greenish gold, blue over white , black, etc.) I also make some with scale patterns that have been quite productive during the past 3 seasons.

Fishdoc Swimmer (2-3 oz)

These plugs work like any metal lipped swimmer with a side to side wobble and roll that leaves a great wake on the surface. The trick to fishing these is to fish them SLOWLY. As you can see make these in a relatively standard shape. The lower river herring pattern is what I call a "THIN SWIM". The tail section is noticably thinner than the standard style thus giving it a bit more tail action. These are painted in a wide variety of colors and scaled patterns. When the river herring are running that pattern is quite productive in the vicinity of a know run. However, in my experience ALL BLACK, ALL WHITE and ALL YELLOW are the go to colors day or night, with black being the night-time first choice. White and yellow have red chins.

Note: I am making some 5 inch 2 oz rounded nose swimmers in mullet and peanut bunker patterns...still testing the action.

JOINTED EEL (3+OZ)

If you like to fish eels slowly in the trough along a beach then this is your plug. You'll never have to worry about being able to purchase eels again. Swims well with a smooth, snake-like motion on a slow retrieve. A great choice for dark of night fishing. Available in black faded to silver with almond belly... only.
